Returns, Exchanges, & Warranties

We’re here to help if your purchase isn’t what you expected. Whether it doesn’t fit, isn’t what you thought, or you’ve simply changed your mind, we’ve got you covered.

How to Return or Exchange an Item:

1. Ensure Original Condition:

  • The item must be in its original packaging, undamaged, and with labels attached.
  • Please pack items securely to avoid damage during transit.
  • Do not place return labels directly on the product packaging.


2. Return Timeframe:

  • Items must be returned within 30 days of purchase.


3. Processing Time:

  • Returns will be processed within 3 business days after we receive the item.


4. Damaged Items:

  • Items that arrive damaged cannot be accepted for return, exchange, or refund.


5. Multiple Exchanges:

  •  If you need to exchange more than once, an additional shipping fee will apply.


Fees and Deductions:

1. Exchanges:

  •  If you exchange an item for one of the same or higher value, no restocking fee applies.
  • Just get the item back to us, and we’ll handle the rest.


2. Refunds:

  •  A 5% fee will be deducted from your refund to cover payment processing charges. Why this fee? These are non-recoverable charges from the payment provider that we don't get back when processing your refund or order cancellation. 

    Exceptions:
  • If you paid using POLI (bank transfer), this 5% fee won’t be applied.
  • You can also avoid this fee by requesting a store credit as an exchange; no fees will be applied in this case.

  •  Refunds may take up to 5 business days.
  •  Original shipping fees are non-refundable.
  • Just get the item back to us, and we’ll take care of the rest.


3. Order Cancellations:

Order cancellations are possible if the order hasn't been processed internally, which may happen before tracking information is provided. We will make every effort to accommodate your request.

A 5% fee will be deducted from canceled orders due to non-recoverable payment charges and administration costs. Why this fee? These are non-recoverable charges from the payment provider that we don't get back when processing your refund or order cancellation.

Fee Exemptions:

  • If you paid using POLI (bank transfer), this 5% fee won’t be applied.
  • You can also avoid this fee by requesting a store credit as an exchange; no fees will be applied in this case.
  • Instead of a cancelation you request an exchange to another product.
  • If the cancellation is due to our mistake (e.g., the item is unavailable), you’ll receive a full refund.


Returns Exceptions:

Certain items cannot be returned or exchanged:

  • Tents, Bivvys, Shelters & Related Accessories
  • Power banks
  • Airbeds, Mattresses, and Liners
  • Gas Canisters/Fuel
  • Headlamps and Torches
  • Kayaks
  • Fridges, Freezers, Chilly Bins, and Water Heaters
  • Climbing and Mountaineering Equipment
  • Clothing and accessories that have been worn, used, or altered
  •  Personal Locator Beacons
  • Gift Vouchers


Shipping Fees:

  • Non-Refundable: Initial shipping fees are non-refundable.

  • Return Shipping Costs: You’ll need to arrange and cover the return shipping.

Warranty Claims 

How to Make a Warranty Claim:

Online Form: Fill out the online form highlighted below with details and photos and short videos for faster processing.

Email: You can also email us at service@outdooraction.co.nz. Include photos and a short video if needed to show the issue.

Processing Time: Claims may take 2-5 weeks as we work with the manufacturer or their NZ distributor.

Shipping Costs: Customers are responsible for covering the shipping costs for product inspections.
